Your Questions About the Job Matching Competition

What is the Job Matching competition about?

Robociti’s Job Matching Challenge is a coding competition, where you can create a job recommendation system that matches available job descriptions in Robotics & AI to Robociti users who are ideal candidates, according to their skills, interests and activity on Robociti.

How can you get the information required to create your project?

We will provide you with dummy data that resemble the data we collect about our users, including the tags we have associated with them based on the information they provide on onboarding, the courses and competitions they take, the evaluations they complete and other activities they may have when you register for the competition.

Additionally, we will provide dummy data about job descriptions similar to the ones we use to display available positions in Robotics & AI in Robociti’s Jobs section, including data about the job title, the full description, and some tags in our system may have assigned to that position and others. For more information, just register for the competition and see the full description inside!

What prizes can I win?

  • 1st place winner: $500
  • 2nd place winner: 1000 RoboCoins (that can be used to purchase courses or hardware on Robociti)
  • 3rd place winner: 500 RoboCoins (that can be used to purchase courses or hardware on Robociti)

What are my deliverables?

Your solution does not need to include any hardware, this is mainly a software competition, and there is no limitation to the methodology you use as long as it respects the requirements described in the competition details. Be creative and try to create innovative solutions while keeping the computational cost low, keeping in mind that this solution has to be used in a commercial setting!

You should provide your well-documented coding solution to the Robociti team for evaluation, making sure you own the intellectual rights to the solution, not using any third party proprietary tools. Using Open Source code and tools as part of your solution is acceptable as long as you specify them clearly in a separate file among the files you include in your solution. If you have an existing project in a later phase that will be used for this competition, you can also take part in that project, as long as it has not yet been commercialized. For more information, please check the competition Rules.
